Korean Literature: The Black Sheep of Hallyu

In this article, I examine South Korean literature's place among Hallyu exports as the genre struggles to find global appeal similar to that of idol groups or K-dramas. I explore translated literature's striking differences from the Korean world international audiences have come to expect, and how these differences might be overcome in the future.
